Planning for coastal change

Hosted by Royal Haskoning and Birse Coastal, this event focuses on managing coastal change and development of strategies that aim to sustain development around the coast.

Littoral 2010 - Adapting to global change at the coast

Location: Royal Geographic Society, London, UK

Royal Haskoning are proud to have two speakers at the 10th Littoral Conference in London.

Senior Coastal Geomorphologist David Brew will be giving two presentations entitled "Coastal regional sediment management planning in southern Monterey Bay, California" and "Sustainable coastal communities: the use of crenulate bay theory at different scales of coastal management".

Coastal Scientist Natasha Carpenter will be giving a poster presentation on "Facilitating Integrated Coastal Management in Trinidad"

The international conference - Deltas in times of climate change

Location: Rotterdam, the Netherlands

Dr Alice Johnson, expert coastal engineer will be presenting a poster presentation on how Royal Haskoning is providing coastal protection to a community built on a low lying shingle ridge which suffers from flooding on the Ceredigion coast of Wales.

Ports and the Environment, 3rd International Conference

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands

At this year’s Ports and the Environment conference, Royal Haskoning’s Senior Consultant of Clean Technology, Niels Lanser, will be providing you with an insight into the way ports can monitor their carbon footprint in order to improve their sustainability strategy whilst also enabling them to measure all CO2 reductions more efficiently. This information can then be used to motivate decision makers to invest in more sustainable measures.
