We develop emergency response procedures and assist in flood incident recovery. In June 2004, the evacuation of 200 homes in North East Scotland was prevented by using hydrological tools we had developed for the management of flood event decision making.
We develop flood forecasting systems to monitor predicted flood events which enable appropriate mitigation measures to be taken. We are also experienced in the collection of flood data, during and immediately after an event, which helps us develop future flood risk management solutions.
