RoRo and Cruise Terminals
Royal Haskoning designed the first RoRo terminal at Felixstowe in 1963 and, since then, has become one of the world's most experienced independent designers of ship to shore facilities.
Our portfolio includes the design of RoRo terminal layouts for a wide range of facilities, including marshalling areas, trailer parks, weighbridges and entrance gate facilities. Well versed in the design of berthing and fendering facilities, specialist applications for fast ferry and cruise vessels and ship to shore passenger walkways, we have designed a unique computer simulation programme called Posport, which demonstrates vessel movement, together with both the port and land side operations of our RoRo ferry terminals.
