McAuley and Browne Consulting Engineers of Belfast served as consultants to Warrenpoint Harbour Authority.

Requested to provide cost estimates and programmes for the development of Warrenpoint Harbour's main quay facilities, Royal Haskoning was appointed to carry out a number of services.

Including:

-	preparation of ground investigation tender package
-	provide site supervision of ground investigation
-	review of ground investigation findings
-	prepare outline design and drawings for new ro-ro facility
-	prepare outline design and drawings of existing quay wall deepening works
-	prepare outline design and drawings of quay wall extension and return berth

The outline designs submitted to McAuley and Browne were sufficiently comprehensive to permit the preparation of detailed cost estimates and programmes for the Harbour Authority.

These were then used as part of a successful application for state funding to proceed with the proposed development.
